  • Fluent in Python programming
  • Available to work full-time on the Fellows program
  • Strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • Strong background in a discipline relevant to a specific Fellows workstream (e.g., economics, social sciences, cybersecurity)
  • Experience in areas of research or engineering related to their workstream

Responsibilities

  • Work on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic’s research priorities using external infrastructure (open-source models, public APIs)
  • Produce a public output such as a paper submission
  • Build CPU simulators for accelerator workloads
  • Add backends for different accelerators on an open source project
  • Build on-demand infrastructure for other infrastructure-heavy fellows projects
  • Build complex synthetic data or environment pipelines
  • Implement ideas quickly and communicate clearly
