The Agent Runtime Platform provisions and runs the compute and runtimes behind Anthropic's internal agents, enabling secure, credential‑managed environments where agents perform real engineering and knowledge work at scale. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical strategy, manage day‑to‑day execution, prioritize projects, and stay hands‑on by building and shipping the runtime platform and tooling. You will also define secure agent execution at scale, collaborate with security teams on sandboxing and credential management, develop reusable primitives, ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability, and support internal teams deploying their agents.

Skills
- 10+ years building and operating large-scale platforms or distributed systems
- 1+ years of management experience in a technical environment, particularly in building platforms or agents at scale
- deeply interested in the potential transformative effects of advanced AI systems and agents, and committed to ensuring their safe deployment
- experience with container or VM orchestration at scale
