Anthropic is seeking an experienced EU Policy Analyst to build relationships with external stakeholders and develop policy positions within the EU ecosystem, driving progress in AI policy and safety. The analyst will collaborate with the International Policy team to engage EU institutions, think tanks, academia, and other stakeholders, analyze policy proposals, draft public comments, plan events, and build strategic campaigns that amplify Anthropic's policy presence. The role supports commercial efforts through partnership with the EMEA GTM team and requires travel within EMEA and occasional trips to the United States.

- Professional experience working on EU digital policy

Responsibilities
- Support policy engagement with the EU Commission, Parliament, relevant agencies and public sector partners on issues related to government policy and regulatory implications for frontier labs
- Engage key policy stakeholders (e.g., via briefings, consultations, demos, roundtables), in coordination with the wider EMEA policy team
- Analyze policy proposals and map the EU policy landscape to inform Anthropic's positions
- Draft submissions for public comment and consultations
- Plan events and build strategic campaigns that amplify Anthropic's policy presence
- Cultivate relationships with key policy and political partners across the EU AI policy ecosystem
- Partner with the EMEA GTM team to support commercial efforts as appropriate
