Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional experience working with various fluid components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors
- Professional Engineering licensure
- PE License
- 10+ years of professional experience working with various fluid components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors
- Proven track record of effective management and leadership
- Willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Owning and being the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across data center builds—chillers, pumps, dry coolers, chemical treatment, water storage, building pressurization, comfort heating/cooling, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and systems
- Performing CAD modeling and design of these systems and deconflicting the design with other disciplines in three dimensions
- Performing fluid analyses for pressure balance, component design allowable, and consumables determination
- Coordinating with procurement, construction, and other disciplines to select, apply and procure equipment that meets the timeline, cost profile and performance required for the build
- Ensuring designs are manufacturable and reliable when designing for internal manufacturing partners and working with the production team to enable smooth transition to reliable manufacturing processes
