Skills

  • Owned a developer platform, API, billing or money‑movement product end‑to‑end and was accountable for its revenue or activation numbers
  • Built with or shipped on top of large language models, with knowledge of billing, identity, and distribution changes
  • Technically fluent: reads API documentation, designs billing/identity/attribution with engineers, and makes calls on platform primitives
  • Pulls own data using SQL or equivalent to define metrics, build funnels, or size markets
  • Negotiated pricing, revenue share, or program terms with Finance, Legal, or Business Development counterparts
  • Writes clear communication for engineers, executives, and external partners
  • Aligns with Anthropic’s mission and supports platform growth with upside sharing
  • 8+ years product management experience (preferred)
  • Experience in metering, usage attribution, reseller or cloud‑marketplace channels, or enterprise spend management (preferred)
  • Experience taking a developer platform into a new industry or building products in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or financial services (preferred)
  • Experience growing a developer product’s self‑serve or startup business, including pricing and packaging (preferred)
  • Experience building account, identity, or subscription systems that span multiple products (preferred)
  • Experience taking a product from zero to one, working out users, product, and economics (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Partner and platform billing: meter, attribute, and bill usage through partners, resellers, or other platforms, and manage program terms
  • Spend observability and controls: provide enterprise buyers with spend visibility, limits, and programmatic controls
  • One account and startup path: create a unified login and wallet across the API and Claude subscriptions for first commits, calls, and invoices
  • Vertical platform strategy: identify industry needs, define bets, ship vertical products, and collaborate with go‑to‑market partners
  • Build on primitives owned by the Billing Platform and Auth & Identity teams, and ship with Growth, Go‑to‑Market, Startups, Legal, Finance, and Data Science
  • Structure commercial terms such as pricing, revenue attribution, partner, and startup program terms with Finance, Legal, and Business Development
  • Engage the ecosystem of enterprise buyers, startup builders, partners, embedders, and industry customers to shape roadmaps
  • Own outcome metrics: platform business share, new startup revenue, unified volume across API and subscriptions, and partner volume, while ensuring instrumentation
  • Write strategy, specs, and analysis
