- Expertise and specialization in a space science subdomain (e.g., galactic astronomy, extragalactic astronomy, observational astronomy, stellar astrophysics, high‑energy astrophysics, cosmology, planetary science, earth sciences, astroparticle physics, general relativity, or interdisciplinary space sciences)
