Anthropic is seeking a Data Center Portfolio Lead to manage and drive the portfolio of data center sites across the United States, overseeing site status, milestone tracking, decision‑making, and partner relationships. The role involves leading portfolio reviews, designing stage‑gate frameworks, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and developing AI‑driven tooling to automate reporting. The ideal candidate has experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects, building stage‑gate processes, and handling partner relationships, along with a bachelor’s degree and relevant technical background.

Salary

USD 320,000 - 405,000

Requirements

Skills

  • Manage data center or comparable capital-intensive infrastructure at scale
  • Own external development or partner relationship and hold both sides to commitments
  • Build or run a stage-gate or milestone framework
  • Be fluent in constraints such as power, cooling, design, and delivery dates
  • Automate reporting with tooling or data pipelines
  • Technical program management experience on capital projects across multiple concurrent builds
  • Management consulting or internal strategy background
  • Experience with accelerator or server fleet planning and data center designs
  • Experience on the commercial side of agreements, negotiating leases, framework agreements, or post‑signature management
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Relevant field of study for the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio overall: each site’s status, milestones, decisions taken, open items, and risks
  • Lead the portfolio reviews that ground our teams on the current state of supply, decisions needed, and downstream impacts
  • Architect and run the stage-gate framework — the criteria, approvals, and owners at each gate — that standardizes how a site moves from negotiation through lease execution, design and chip lock, construction, and handoff to operations
  • Work with the planning and design teams to decide each site’s chip allocation ahead of deadlines
  • Act as the primary point of contact between strategic partners and internal stakeholders, drive execution to critical milestones, and keep partners consistent across site selection, design, supply chain, and delivery
  • Develop AI-driven tooling and data pipelines that automate project updates across the portfolio
