The Product Manager, Safe Access role at Anthropic is responsible for owning the end‑to‑end product experience and strategy around safe access primitives such as account management, verification, and access APIs.   • Strong executor with a track record of shipping through ambiguity and cross-organization dependencies
  • Excellent communication skills for writing clearly for engineers, executives, and external partners
  • Experience owning a developer platform, identity, authorization, or access-management product end to end with accountability for outcomes
  • Alignment with Anthropic's mission and focus on scaling access to Claude safely
  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Experience with multi-tenant platforms consumed by first-party apps, direct API customers, and third parties building on top
  • Built account, identity, or subscription systems that span more than one product
  • Taken a product from zero to one, working out users, product, and requirements simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for the account and access primitives, enabling any team at Anthropic to provision access or run an access program with minimal support
  • Own the end-to-end experience of getting and managing access for internal stakeholders and external customers and partners, ensuring consistency across every surface
  • Support the API designs and UX of the access APIs that platforms, resellers, and internal services integrate with, working closely with engineering
  • Partner with trusted access and verification product managers so new programs compose from shared primitives rather than one-off builds
  • Coordinate across product, safeguards, legal, and go-to-market teams, driving alignment when requirements conflict
