As a Senior Data Center Operations Technician, you will maintain the health of our server and network infrastructure across data centers and global points of presence. You will manage key metrics such as mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to repair (MTTR), handle on‑call responsibilities, troubleshoot equipment, install and maintain hardware, manage inventory and tickets via Jira, and document processes, all while supporting the company’s AI mission.

Requirements

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years of experience working with server, storage, compute and network hardware
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, ordering, receiving and shipping server and network equipment
  • Experience using Linux commands for process management
  • Experience with Bash or other scripting
  • Experience being on‑call and responding to critical events
  • Experience leading Data Center Infrastructure projects
  • Oracle experience
  • Structured cabling (copper/fiber) experience 4+ years
  • Power and cooling concepts in data centers 4+ years

Responsibilities

  • Report to the job site during initial construction and report back to the engineering team as required
  • Troubleshoot and monitor servers and network in data centers and global points of presence
  • Rack and stack data center network equipment
  • Maintain warehouse inventory and asset management using an internal application
  • Label and troubleshoot fiber/optics cables
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair power supply cabling
  • Install racks, servers, and switches; stage racks, cable, power up, and hand off hardware to provisioning team
  • Manage, respond to, and resolve data center operations tickets in Jira
  • Create and maintain documentation of tasks and standard operating procedures
  • Receipt and decommissioning of data center hardware
  • Handle vendor returns for infrastructure under and out of warranty
  • Manage spare parts inventory within the data center
  • Define, design, and implement network layouts and solutions within data centers
