  • Backend development experience using modern frameworks and tools such as PHP, Python, WordPress, Wagtail, Django
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and cloud infrastructure (Heroku, AWS, Cloudflare)

Responsibilities

  • Create exceptional backend solutions, including new builds, updates, API integrations, infrastructure configurations, and server‑side tasks.
  • Ensure quality and performance by writing clean, efficient, secure code, testing, debugging, optimising performance, and contributing to code reviews.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and client‑facing roles to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Own your work, contributing to internal best practices, solution reviews, code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
