This Frontend Engineer role is part of Stripe’s Developer Experience & Product Platform team in Barcelona, Spain, working in a hybrid model (50% remote, 50% onsite). The engineer will help evolve Stripe’s UI platform, contribute to architecture, build internal tooling, and troubleshoot and optimize frontend components and APIs to support developers across Stripe’s products.

Salary

EUR 61,600 - 120,000/year

Requirements

Experience

  • 2-12+ years of industry front-end development experience
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
  • Advanced knowledge of modern HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining frontend components or libraries
  • Experience with frontend build tools, module bundlers, package managers, and codemods
  • Strong problem‑solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Appreciation for the importance of good documentation

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute against both short and long term roadmaps to evolve Stripe’s UI platform
  • Contribute to the overall software architecture of Stripe UI products
  • Build internal tooling and process to support developers building on our platform
  • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
  • Engage in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing components and frontend APIs to ensure reliable and efficient user interface delivery
