We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Latin America. This role offers the chance to shape the data backbone of high-impact social, messaging, and entertainment platforms reaching tens of millions of users monthly. You will design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and server-side components, ensuring efficient collection, storage, and processing of massive data sets. Requirements

Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in software engineering environment

Skills

  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or Golang
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI reporting tools
  • Familiarity with automated testing systems, CI/CD workflows, containerization, and virtualization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and working with Data Lakes

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL pipelines for processing large volumes of data from multiple sources
  • Maintain and improve server-side scripts, APIs, libraries, and SDKs to enhance data management and delivery
  • Identify and implement performance optimizations and process improvements across data systems
  • Automate manual processes and ensure scalable, reliable data operations
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of data
  • Build scalable software solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs
