  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience in the Australian public sector
  • Proven track record of driving adoption of emerging technologies
  • Deep understanding of Australian government procurement processes, security requirements, and technology adoption frameworks
  • Security clearances required
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow new market segments with potential to develop into a leadership role
  • Strong track record of managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic deals in the public sector
  • Experience navigating multiple stakeholders across government departments, building consensus and providing innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to all levels, from technical teams to senior government officials
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams
  • Passion for safe and ethical AI development
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Relevant field of study as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead Anthropic's market entry and expansion in the Australian public sector, establishing presence and building relationships with key stakeholders across government departments and agencies
  • Own the full sales cycle for Australian public sector opportunities, from initial outreach through to successful deployment, focusing on long‑term strategic partnerships
  • Navigate the unique procurement requirements, security standards, and compliance frameworks specific to Australian government technology adoption
  • Collaborate with policy teams to ensure alignment with Australian government AI strategies and initiatives
  • Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to the Australian public sector environment, meeting and exceeding revenue targets while maintaining strong relationships with procurement teams and decision‑makers
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to product teams to ensure offerings meet Australian public sector requirements and use cases
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant systems integrators and technology partners in the Australian market
  • Develop and document best practices for Australian public sector engagement, creating playbooks that can scale presence in the market
  • Serve as a leader within the broader public sector team, sharing insights and collaborating on cross‑market opportunities
