This role requires experienced software engineers to scope complex projects, drive cross‑org alignment, and make architectural decisions. The work spans service infrastructure, cloud portability, API intelligence, connectivity, billing, secure execution, knowledge integration, agentic systems, and identity/authentication. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the core infrastructure that powers Anthropic's engineering organization, including service mesh, observability systems, deployment pipelines, and shared libraries.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-agnostic tooling, cross-cloud networking, and multi‑region deployments to enable Anthropic to operate across multiple cloud providers.
  • Build and scale the foundation of the Claude API, ensuring performance, reliability, and efficiency of the core serving path.
  • Own the MCP proxy, OAuth, and token management that keeps connections authenticated, and contribute to the MCP spec and the official Python and TypeScript SDKs.
  • Build and operate infrastructure that turns product usage into revenue across Anthropic’s product suite, automating the quote‑to‑cash lifecycle and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.
  • Design and run the secure execution environment behind Claude’s agentic capabilities, focusing on containerized workloads and enterprise‑scale reliability.
  • Transform Claude into a knowledge worker by enabling secure access to external data and automatically retrieving relevant information for developers.
  • Build infrastructure and APIs that allow developers to create powerful agentic applications on the Claude API, supporting tool use, multi‑step reasoning, durable sessions, and long‑running task execution.
  • Build and maintain critical identity and authentication infrastructure across Anthropic’s product suite.
