Iniciador is the foundational infrastructure powering Brazil's next‑generation banking ecosystem, serving banks, fintechs, and platforms such as Meta, Stone, iFood, Magie, and global PSPs. The Backend Engineer will own high‑availability, high‑security systems that handle high‑volume Pix and Open Finance transactions, design and ship services, ensure reliability, and provide technical leadership in a distributed, secure, and high‑performance environment.

Requisitos

Habilidades

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Track record of shipping high-reliability production projects
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational/NoSQL databases in high-throughput environments
  • Hands‑on experience designing and operating distributed systems
  • Strong coding, testing, and system design fundamentals
  • Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or similar)
  • Effective cross‑functional communication
  • Ability to work autonomously and see problems through to resolution
  • Experience building for Open Finance Brasil or working within a Central Bank‑regulated entity
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Golang
  • Background in instant payments, high‑availability financial infrastructure, or API‑first platforms

Responsabilidades

  • Build mission‑critical systems: Design, develop, and own backend services handling high‑volume financial transactions with intense focus on security, performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Ship with quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while establishing and advocating for best practices across the team
  • Own reliability: Develop comprehensive automated tests, troubleshoot complex production issues quickly, and ensure the quality of every release
  • Technical leadership: Engage in hands‑on coding and architectural design, set and maintain high technical standards, mentor engineers, review code changes, and foster a culture of excellence
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product managers, regulatory specialists, and stakeholders to define and implement features that meet evolving market and regulatory needs
