What you’ll be able to do: ADAS MBD Software & Autocode Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Autocode generation of MBD software to support development related to ADAS features, including specifications, model and code implementation, verification, and validation. Work with feature owners to understand and review requested requirements and system-level interactions. Support feature owners with model developing activities. Implement MBD software robustness disciplines and best practices for optimal and efficient code generation. Review code-generation reports, including test reports and static code analysis, and provide resolution for identified issues. Work with the testing teams to continue and expand on CAE procedures to reduce dependence on vehicle-level testing. Understand sensor and system performance requirements and limitations, to develop robust designs, identify improvements, recognize trade-offs and make applicable design decisions. Support software signoff, including calibration tuning, for all vehicle programs.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience developing software with Matlab or Simulink. Also requires 1 year of experience: developing embedded software; performing embedded coding; and using AUTOSAR.
