VHIR offers a Data Manager position within the Microbiology Research Group. The Research Group focuses on microbiology aspects involved in infectious diseases, including antimicrobial resistance, sexually transmitted diseases, viral and fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, pathogenicity, epidemiology, and new diagnostic systems. The position requires a degree in Life Sciences and Health, good communication skills, fluency in English, publications and project participation records, proven experience in data entry, data management, database maintenance, statistics, knowledge of sepsis pathophysiology, electronic health records access, REDCap, clinical microbiology, manuscript preparation, proactive and organizational skills. Responsibilities include data entry in the sepsis database at Hospital Vall d’Hebron, collection and management of clinical data for sepsis patients, coordination and development of research projects, laboratory technical support, project management and applications, writing scientific reports and papers, attending meetings and conferences, and supporting researchers.

Experience

- Data management and analysis using REDCap.
- Knowledge on statistics.
- Experience in clinical microbiology.
- The candidate must be proficient in the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
- Proactive, dynamic and outstanding organizational skills are required.
