The Endpoint team’s Mobile Client Platform Engineer will design, implement, and manage a corporate-issued mobile device program across all regions Anthropic operates. The role involves building zero-touch enrollment, integrating mobile policies into the config‑as‑code pipeline, managing global hardware logistics, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with Corporate Security. Candidates will bring deep iOS and Android device management expertise, experience with MDM infrastructure, and a product‑engineering mindset to shape a scalable, secure mobile fleet.

Skills

  • Owned a global or multi-region mobile device program end to end, with 8+ years managing corporate fleets at thousands-of-devices scale
  • Deep experience on iOS device management: enrollment flows, Apple Business Manager and ADE, APNs and certificate lifecycle, declarative device management
  • Experience with Android device management
  • Treat device configuration as code and have moved past clicking in consoles
  • Run the infrastructure under an MDM server, not just administer a SaaS console (self-hosted MDM server, AWS, Terraform)
  • Built or launched a corporate device program, not just operated one
  • Excel at ambiguous problems that touch several teams at once
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to any audience
  • View IT Engineering as requiring product engineering rigor
  • Write clear documentation as a natural part of your workflow
  • Managed ChromeOS devices alongside a mobile fleet
  • Run a device program across multiple regions and handle logistics
  • Built automated, progressive rollout systems with promotion gated on telemetry
  • Proficiency in Swift for building device tooling
  • Used LLMs to automate operational work or are excited to make Claude a teammate

Responsibilities

  • Design the corporate-issued mobile device program: device standards, issuing policy, and scaling from first region to all regions Anthropic operates
  • Own the global logistics of issuing hardware: procurement partners, regional coverage, spares, and refresh cycles
  • Bring mobile configuration into the team’s config-as-code pipeline for review, testing, and progressive rollout
  • Build zero-touch enrollment using Apple Business Manager, ADE, and Android equivalent for first-time setup
  • Own policy, compliance, and device lifecycle for the corporate fleet, from issue to wipe
  • Build telemetry on the corporate fleet: device check-ins, OS and patch state, drift monitoring
  • Own managed app distribution for mobile, from approval to rollout
  • Partner with Corporate Security on device posture, trust signals, and travel devices for international trips
  • Define coexistence of corporate-issued and BYOD devices and own that boundary as the program rolls out
