Skills
- Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in material or production planning, purchasing, distribution, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in the same fields, or 9+ years of experience in the same fields
- APICS certification – CPIM or CSCP desired
- Excellent communication and team‑building skills
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environments
- Previous experience with capital planning and management
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work all shifts, extended hours, weekends, and provide 24x7 on‑call support
- Domestic travel up to 20%
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties including timecard compliance, scheduling, periodic reviews, supply ordering, and one‑on‑one mentoring and training of direct reports
- Support and maintain operational targets and objectives for fulfillment, distribution, and storage centers
- Develop strategy, business metrics, and goals to guide the organization
- Manage a multi‑level deep organization, assess employee performance, provide feedback, facilitate conflict resolution, and address repeat issues
- Lead by example, motivate the organization, and set a high level of results
- Monitor and improve operations to achieve zero OSHA recordables annually
- Ensure business practices meet AS9100 and customer flow‑down requirements
- Manage inventory receipt, acceptance, storage, and issuance of parts and hardware
- Provide industry‑leading customer service across operations
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimization opportunities
- Maintain process control and routine counting for audit requirements
- Drive projects and changes to sustain distribution center rates year‑over‑year
- Monitor shelf‑life storage and maintain proper rotation (FIFO)
- Ensure appropriate environmental controls for stored materials
- Manage storage of non‑SpaceX part numbers for internal and external use
- Mentor workforce development and motivate team members
- Adapt to changing business needs as SpaceX innovates
