Anthropic is scaling rapidly and seeks a Senior Manager, Cash Application to lead the cash application function within our Invoice to Cash organization. The role involves owning the team, daily operations, KPI and SLA reporting, process improvements, and automation roadmap to ensure efficient and accurate cash application.

Skills

  • Senior experience in cash application or accounts receivable operations
  • Proven track record of scaling operations through automation
  • Experience managing a small high‑leverage team
  • Strong data‑driven mindset with KPI and SLA development
  • Knowledge of automation platforms (e.g., Tesorio) and AI tools (e.g., Claude)
  • Collaboration with finance, treasury, billing, collections, and go‑to‑market teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the global cash application function, including daily operations, team output, systems, controls, and reporting
  • Build and lead a small, high‑leverage team focused on exceptions
  • Coach, mentor, and manage Cash Application Specialists and contractors
  • Develop the team's operating cadence, queue management, escalation paths, and coverage
  • Drive the cash application automation roadmap for a largely touchless operation
  • Serve as day‑to‑day business owner of the AR automation platform and partner with Finance Systems and Treasury
  • Champion Claude adoption to remove manual work in the team
  • Set and track automation and leverage targets such as auto‑match rate and touchless posting rate
  • Define, evaluate, and refine the KPI and SLA set for the function
  • Build and maintain dashboards for performance tracking and reporting
  • Analyze trends and bottlenecks, provide data‑backed recommendations to leadership
  • Run a structured root‑cause program and convert findings into durable fixes
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls for cash application
  • Implement process improvements across the payment‑to‑posting cycle
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors
  • Own the cash application component of month‑end and quarter‑end close
