Requirements
Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level
- Experience building products from 0 to 1 in fast-moving environments
- Ability to set technical direction with limited precedent
- Experience building AI products and turning model capabilities into usable applications
- Comfortable working directly with technical domain experts
- Drive cross-team alignment to ship impactful work
- Background in chemistry, biology, physics, or another science (optional)
- Experience working with research teams to improve domain-specific model capabilities and evaluation frameworks (optional)
Responsibilities
- Ship fast against a roadmap you help shape
- Interface directly with working scientists during key conversations
- Partner with product and design to translate scientists’ workflow into shipped product
- Work closely with research to make the models better at science by shaping evals, surfacing failure modes, and feeding user data back into model development
