Student Assistant Projects & Communication at University of Amsterdam

This role is a student assistant position at the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Science, Institute of Physics. You will work closely with the Communications Officer (Maja Lešković) and the Project Manager (Florence Mooser) on communication support and project tasks. Responsibilities include managing communication channels, creating engaging content (copy, visuals, newsletters, blog posts), monitoring social media analytics, preparing events (logistics, registration, quotes, participant/partner communication), organizing shared folders, and collecting post‑event feedback. The position is a temporary employment contract for 16 hours per week, with a preferred starting date as soon as possible and a term until 13 March 2026. The gross monthly salary ranges from €3,084 to €3,141 (Scale SA) depending on experience, with additional 8 % holiday allowance and 8.3 % year‑end bonus. You will work on‑site in the University of Amsterdam campus, but remote work may be possible after a period of acclimation. The role requires a third‑year bachelor or MSc student, professional command of English, and an interest in social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Preferred skills include Canva, WordPress, and Excel.
